Gambling can also include a game of chance played for entertainment. It has been around since Ancient Greece, where people would bet on which chariot would come in first place. Nowadays, gambling ranges from playing board games like Monopoly to betting on sports teams to playing slot machines at casinos. The most popular form of gambling is online gambling, which facilitates betting through websites mostly located offshore so that they are not subject to local laws or taxes.

We all gamble in one form or another; it’s just a matter of how much. We may buy lottery tickets every week, or we may only play the slots once a year.
